Liurong Temple (Temple of The Six Banyan Trees) It is on Liurong Road in the city center. Built in 537, it was originally called Baozhuangyan Temple. The temple received its name from the famous Song Dynasty poet Sudongpo, who was struck by the presence of six banyan trees on the temple grounds. Dr. Sun Yatsen's Memorial Hall Located on Dongfeng Road in the city proper, it was where Dr. Sun Yatsen took up his post as the president in 1921,The memorial hall was built at the site in 1931 after Dr. Sun's death, with the funds raised by Guangzhou people and overseas Chinese. It is a 49-meter high palace style building, covering and area of 3,700 sq,m. The blue glazed tiles, red pillars and yellow walls make it beautiful and dignified. Inside the hall no pillars obstruct the view of the stage. |

Chen Family Temple Built during 1890-1894, the Chen Family Temple on the 7th Zhongshan Road, is a famous family temple in the city. Covering an area of 1000 sq.m the temple which features local architectural styles was well designed. It is the best place to help tourists know the local folk architectural styles.
